It hit me like a ton of bricks. I wasn't prepared, and furthermore, nobody I knew in my work arena had ever been laid off. . Since then, I've taken the stance that "its not so scary when you've been through it", and, of course, we've been preparing for the next layoff ever since. .. Take heart,,,,you're not the only one, and lots of others have gotten thru it. 5 years ago, I was laid off, with no notice, after six years (at a small company).
